Future Rosedale Library 1/30 and 17th St 1/31

Please join me Tuesday night at 6:30pm in person at the Rosedale Recreation Center to hear about the future of the Rosedale Library from DC Public Library Executive Director Richard Reyes-Gavilan. Meet Your Neighbor- DCWISE1, INC.
DCWISE1, INC. Began feeding the hungry in the Rosedale Community in 2014. The vision was developed after serving Thanksgiving Dinners for my family; and having to discard leftovers. I thought why not feed those who are hungry and have no family to be with on Thanksgiving Day.
In which since 2014 we have feed over five thousand and four hundred persons. Not including the hygiene bags, Subway gift cards, Christmas toys, workshop, and field trips that the Rosedale community youth have enjoyed.
In 2024, we are looking to implement youth programs that capture their gifts and talents and support projects in creating their future. Our next project “Dare to Dream,” will begin in February 2024. Secondly, we will institute a summer program for the youth.
Our success would not have been possible without the volunteers that come and give of their gifts, talents to serve the community. Want to volunteer, go to dcwise1.net.
